His father moved to New York, USA while his mother moved to Paris, France. His father had opened a traditional Algerian restaurant where he helped out and spent many young days. Each year during summer vacation, he visited his mother in France. Needless to say, he is fluent in French, Arabic, and English.

He did ignore this approach since he wanted to be a boxer. But after a series of failed competitions, he decided to join the modeling industry. In 2013, he was one of the models walking the catwalk for Givenchy for their Spring/Summer Campaign.

Before this relationship, Kourtney had on again off-again relationship with Scott Disick, her estranged ex. Now there were reports that Younes was the reason why Kourtney wound no longer run back to her ex Scott. The 14-year gap did not bother them nor some of the fans. But for most, they had much to criticize.

To the fans, there seemed to be a bumpy road for them. In early March, the high profile couple unfollowed each other on Instagram! Additionally, Younes deleted his account.
