College Career
When he was a senior in high school, Zac pitched for the Forest Grove High School squad. He also joined the neighborhood club at Chemeketa Community College when he was younger.

“He has the raw talent that the Rays felt they could transform him into a very polished pitcher,” even though Zac is a left-handed pitcher.

Rosscup had a productive collegiate playing career. He scored 1.60 runs per game on average in his sophomore campaign.
He was chosen in the 2009 MLB Draft out of Chemeketa Community College. Later, in the 28th round of the draft, the Tampa Bay Rays chose Zac.

“When I found out that he had been chosen by MLB, I became so overjoyed that I started crying.”

Career in MLB
In 2009, Zac made his MLB debut. He didn’t get many opportunities, though, to play games.
He took the field against the Greenville Astros in his debut game in West Virginia.
The Rays were behind 4-3 when Zac joined the game in the ninth inning. Jose Altuve’s leadoff triple came from Rosscup.
He eventually calmed himself after giving up a run, which led to a pop-up and a double play that ended the inning.

But the Tampa Bay Rays also sent Matt Garza and Fernando Perez to the Chicago Cubs in 2011.
He took part in several Chicago Cubs games. Zac’s batting average is unknown, although various sports magazines claim he had a promising career there.

Colorado Rockies and its Consequences

But in 2019, Zac re-joined the Dodgers. He has since represented the Colorado Rockies, Toronto Blue Jays, and St. Louis Cardinals, respectively, through the year 2020.
